I restored these antique copper engraved glasses from an antique clock. The glasses were broken into pieces and a glass restorerer glued the pieces together. I was not very happy with the restoration, because you could still see the cracks and there was some glue residue on the reverse side i had to resilver. This made the my new silvering a bit dull and tainted, but in overal i am happy woth the result, because now the antique clock can be restored in its original condition aith its original glasses. "The trend of increasing all flash (NVMe/SAS SSD) drive capacities will most likely continue in coming years. The higher capacities present the challenge in resilvering the data when the devices fail. The bigger the capacity, the bigger is the blast radius and the larger time to rebuild it. However, the SSDs have much higher read/write bandwidth and it is increasing with the capacities. A resilvering design is presented here for parity RAIDs (single, double or triple) or erasure code group which builds on the strengths of these drives to accomplish the resilvering in acceptable time. The scheme utilizes both the read and write bandwidth of all the drives in the RAID group to achieve the shorter time. The deep integration of RAID layer with the filesystem helps in limiting the resilvering to in-use data only. The design is geared to generate sequential read and write patterns. Additionally, the fine-grained, filesystem driven control helps in minimizing the impact on the client I/O latency when the resilvering is happening." Review of the New QNAP TS-h886 ZFS 6-Bay NAS Drive - Worth your Data? 🤍 Summer 2020 has been a remarkably busy period for network-attached storage. We have seen numerous high-profile releases appear on our radar and be released quite quickly, in efforts to bring the latest generation of hardware are to businesses that are beginning to re-open since the peak periods of COVID. However not all the solutions that we have seen in the last couple of months arrived out of the blue and today's NAS is potentially one of my favourite solutions of the year. Originally revealed at the start of 2020, it now arrives with the 2019 previewed ZFS file system, QuTS Hero, inside. Today I want to talk about the brand new TS-h886 QNAP NAS, what makes it especially different from everything we've seen before and what cool features have they included inside. This is not a NAS for the faint-hearted, home user or non-tech buyer - the TS-h886 is a high-end enterprise-grade desktop solution that is designed to change the way many users think about their backups and what exactly is an acceptable norm. At just over £1,800, this is not a light investment and unless you think you're going to take advantage of the large array of hardware advantages inside, this may not be one for you. So, let's get our hands dirty and get to grips with the brand new ZFZ TS-h886 NAS and see if it deserves your data? This description contains links to and Amazon. Everyone loves the rejuvenating feeling you get when you step into a hot shower or bath. Whether you begin or end your day with it you’re sure to feel good afterwards. You step out, wipe the steam from the mirror and see BLACK SPOTS?! No not on your freshly cleaned face, but on the edges of your mirror. They weren’t noticeable before but they’ve grown and now make an ugly trim around your otherwise refreshed face. Why? Little did you know that while you were relaxing your poor mirror has been suffering from the repeated steam buildup which has allowed moisture to penetrate the silver coating causing it to flake off. This is very common problem known as desilvering. But what can you do about it? You could replace the mirror, but that can be expensive and most wall-mounted mirrors are glued in place and very heavy, making removal and replacement a logistical challenge to say the least. So do you have to give up your steamy showers? No! There is an easy cost effective solution. A DIY custom mirror frame! Visit 🤍 to learn more!
Restoring a rusty headlight is possible and you can do it when you are willing. Discover experiment before you decide to buy a new one. This rusting of headlight happens when washing the car and the housing seals are no longer sealing holes due to a long time. The projector lens that is wet for a long time will start to rust. Once it has started to rust it will continue because it's already contaminated. In order to restore the whole headlight you need a silver paint spray and a silicon sealant. If the rust can be removed it's good to clean first before spraying. Restoration will cost you only more or less three hundred pesos than to buy a new one with thousands. Some of the issues we encounter is the availability of the unit specially when your car is already old. So the most practical thing to do is repair and restore what is already there for as long as it can still serve the purpose. It's what I did and I'm happy about it.
This shows a very dirty chapter ring, and the stages to its' transformation. I no longer do this as a profession , but I am happy to answer any questions. Materials used are shown at the end of the video.

Timeless Reflections all new video showing off our silver strip product called MSR. This product dissolves the silvering off the of newly silvered mirrors or pre-silvered mirrors. Demo is on newly silvered mirror (easier) but will still remove silvering off of old mirror and new commerical mirror once the backing is stripped off. This is a great product if you want to add design to the back of a mirror.
