Morrowind can be a difficult game to mod the first time, so here is a super simple easy guide to modding The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to have amazing graphics, and you can do it in 30 to 60 minutes! Morrowind has an open source engine replacement called OpenMW and last year I tried it and it was great without mods but with even my basic modlist it was laggy. Not anymore! OpenMW got an update and it changes how it renders object, lighting, and grass so that it's buttery smooth. Want to buy Morrowind (or other games) AND support this channel? With or without shaders, with or without generating distance lands with MGE XE vs MGE. Compatibility problem with MGE XE's d3d8.dll and these textures? mge3.8.2-rev.0178 works fine. I think mge3.8.0b did this as well, but I can't remember. NEW SHADER: 🤍 Comparison of 3 water shaders for MGE XE. 0:00 – Side by side comparison of all shaders 1:24 – Fullscreen Vtastek 2:48 – Fullscreen enhanced blue 1.3 4:12 – Fullscreen enhanced green 1.1 ► Water shader by vtastek: 🤍 ► Enhanced Water Shader for MGE XE (blue/green) by vtastek, phal, harnlarnm, seventyfour, abot and Krokantschmerz: 🤍 Note: I tweaked 'static const float depcolstr' in the enhanced blue shader to 0.25. The shaders may look differently in your game due to different MGE XE settings and shader setups. As always youtube downgraded the visual appearance significantly, resulting in artifacts and a less appealing look in general. Especially the dark night time suffered from this: The enhanced blue and green water shaders have nice reflections at night, which are almost entirely lost in this upload, while vtastek's old shader is almost as dull as seen here. Nonetheless that shader's daytime appearance is great! Prepare for a more pleasant ingame experience. ;)
Morrowind is the modding beast that I will never walk away from for good, it seems like something always goes wrong when modding Morrowind, forcing you to spend 3 hours cleaning dirty mods, aquiring missing mod files and tweaking the load orders, but in the end it is always worth the trouble, a heavily modded Morrowind is the only RPG you will ever need.

Beautiful Morrowind: A video series... (sorta) Please change video settings to 1080p HD My home made "Purple Haze" palette being used with the ENBPalette.fx shader. Interestingly it is not purple at all. In certain weathers the shade of colour changes. This particular shade of colour was new to me, mind you I am using The Symphony and Scripted Lightings mods. I will soon be releasing this palette as well as my other experimental palettes but if you want to try it before hand it is available to any subscribers for beta testing.
